MISBHV Jean-Michel Basquiat
Basquiat’s story, his persona, style and work have been an inspiration for MISBHV for years. An outsider in the art world, often misread, misunderstood and misinterpreted Jean-Michel proved to become one of the most important artists of late XX century.
It is an incredible honor to announce our partnership with the Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat.
We would like to thank the family of Jean-Michel for allowing us access to the archives that made this dream collaboration possible.
A Double-Breasted Wool Coat printed beautifully in the north of Italy, a distressed knit hinting at Basquiat’s relationship with Madonna, „Big Shoes” printed on a canvas shirt and flared tailoring trousers referencing Miles Davis Quartet were photographed on Jean-Michel’s niece – Jessica Basquiat, in the heart of Manhattan by Gosia Turczynska.
